Editorial
Dear parents,
A book about mothers around the world, a piece of cloth from South America, and four small children – that’s where it all began for DIDYMOS in 1972. We’re delighted that the tradition of babywearing has since re-established itself and a growing number of parents are keeping their children close to their hearts with DIDYMOS slings.
The responses we’ve received from parents and guardians show that they’re also excited about having their children particularly close to them.

Wearing babies in winter
I'm sure you know them too, the horror stories: Babies would get too cold in a baby wrap sling or carrier and it is much too dangerous to carry them in it in winter.
Fortunately, this is nonsense! Common sense tells us that babywearing in winter is much safer for babies than lying in a stroller. When you're carrying your baby, you not only have a much better view of him or her, but you even warm him or her with your body heat.
However, in

Wearing babies in summer
Do you know such sentences as: "Wearing in summer is much too hot!" or: "The baby sweats too much and overheats in the cloth!"?
We do too!
This well-intentioned advice can be quite unsettling, but luckily we know there's nothing to it.
You can continue to carry your baby in hot temperatures without worrying. You don't need a special baby wrap sling for that. However, if you are expecting a spring baby, it may be worth considering a few thi

My mother began Didymos in Germany in 1972, 45 years ago. DIDYMOS was born out of one woman’s desire to carry her newborn twins, of which I was one, as much as she wanted. She needed a way to carry her babies, but also have some freedom to function - a problem I am sure many of you understand. My mother never intended to be a groundbreaker but she instinctively understood
